The birth of a friendship, the origin of a project

It was at the École Supérieure du parfum that our improbable friendship began. Despite our different characters, we shared similar characteristics. Passionated, fearless and above all, very carefree, we imagined, from our first year together, to create our own perfume brand. However, with this will, which was at first zany, we sought above all to express ourselves freely while giving pride of place to creativity. But in order to succeed, it was obvious that we had to gain in experience.   

As the years passed, so did our training. Our appetites and aspirations became more refined. By freeing ourselves from current creations, we reformulated, reinvented and reinterpreted the classics of fine perfumery. We learned and understood the basics while studying and delimiting this opaque and secret industry.  

It was at the end of our third year that our entrepreneurial dream caught up with us. Our unfailing love of early 20th century perfumes and our interest in vintage fragrances drove us, without knowing, towards the Queen Bee perfumery. It was during the course of research, by luck, that we came across this century-old brand. Immediately intrigued and then deeply seduced by its history and its many secrets, restoring Violet seemed obvious to us.

Guided by our understanding of perfumery, we were finally able to express ourselves freely. By modernizing the classic schemes, we have reinvented the neoclassical genre and dusted off a perfumery that will never again be outdated. We could finally prove that vintage perfumery was the modernism that the industry lacked. For this reason, we have made no compromise on the quality of our raw materials and have solicited local actors with undeniable know-how.

In a world that continuesly accelerates, we press pause. We take our time to preserve this know-how and this inexhaustible source of inspiration that is nature. To this end, we are committed to and take part in the causes that are close to our hearts and keep this industry alive.

Because in a world that runs towards the future without looking back, we are convinced that the past can be a source of sublime inspiration. And perfume is and will remain a bridge between yesterday and tomorrow. We share this vision through VIOLET, where customer service goes hand in hand with exchange, transmission and transparency.

Because after all, even with big ambitions, VIOLET will remain on a human scale.
